Kenyon Callahan is an Adjunct Professor who teaches Political Science at Chaffey College, Crafton Hills College, Ventura College, and,  Golden West College in Huntington Beach, CA. Professor Callahan uses the Umoja Community's 18 practices as the foundation for his courses. He was awarded the Marquis Who's Who for 2021-2022. He is a mentor to multiple community college students. Besides working in education, Professor Callahan also gives speeches on voter suppression, why privilege is more than race, and how America has a hierarchical caste system.

Professor Callahan has had international teaching experience. He spent over five years teaching American Government and International Politics at Andong University in South Korea. He has also served as the political advisor to the Inland Empire Chapter of the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). During his tenure with CAIR, he advised the organization on political endorsements with an over 90% success rate.

Professor Callahan earned a Master of Public Administration at California Baptist University and is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis on Organizational Development at Grand Canyon University. His long-term research interests include understanding why male students of color's sense of mattering and belonging in two-year community colleges affects their success and transfer rates to four-year institutions.
